Who this camp is for

The Nike Football Goalkeeper Camp with Chelsea FC is a specialist residential programme for boys aged 13–17 who already play in goal for their school or club team and want to focus intensively on their position while enjoying the full Chelsea training experience alongside outfield players.

  • Age: 13–17
  • Gender: boys
  • Level: goalkeepers who play regularly and want position-specific coaching

Camp length, dates and options

Like all Chelsea-linked Nike Football Camps, the Goalkeeper Camp is offered as 1-week (6-night) and 2-week (13-night) residential stays in summer 2026. Families can choose a single week or combine two consecutive weeks, as shown in the date selector above.

The official brochure describes two main programme options (availability depends on the selected week):

  • Total Football – up to 24 hours of football training and games per week, with a large part of the on‑pitch time devoted to goalkeeper‑specific work.
  • Football + English – the same football load combined with up to 13 hours of English lessons per week, using an accelerated, activity‑based learning model.

Goalkeeper training programme

Training is delivered by coaches experienced in working with goalkeepers within the Chelsea FC international programme. Across the week, keepers typically work on:

  • Footwork, set position and handling from different types of shots.
  • Dealing with crosses and high balls, including positioning and timing.
  • 1‑v‑1 situations and decision making when facing through‑balls and breakaways.
  • Distribution with hands and feet to start attacks quickly and effectively.
  • Communication and organisation of the defensive line.

Keepers are also integrated into team practices and match play, so they learn how to apply their skills in realistic game situations and understand the demands of the whole team shape.

Locations & facilities

According to the boys’ football brochure, Chelsea FC camps run at several leading English boarding schools in the South‑East of England, near London – for example Charterhouse School (Surrey) and similar venues. Each campus offers:

  • High‑quality grass and/or artificial pitches for training and matches.
  • Sports halls and indoor spaces for workshops and wet‑weather sessions.
  • Modern boarding houses with common rooms, Wi‑Fi and supervised social areas.

Accommodation, meals & supervision

  • Full‑board residential camp with three nutritionally balanced meals a day, plus snacks.
  • Shared bedrooms in secure boarding houses, grouped by age.
  • 24/7 supervision and clearly defined welfare and safeguarding procedures.
  • Structured evening activities and time to relax with new friends from around the world.
  • International Student Travel Insurance from Howden is included for all participants booked via the official camp operator.

Excursions & Chelsea FC flavour

The boys’ football brochure highlights an excursion programme that may include visits to London and Chelsea‑related experiences, such as a trip to Stamford Bridge or other club attractions, depending on the dates and final schedule. Goalkeepers join the same excursions as outfield players, so they enjoy the full Chelsea FC atmosphere on and off the pitch.

Airport transfers & travel

  • Shared airport transfers are available from London Heathrow (LHR) and London Gatwick (LGW).
  • Both standard transfers and Unaccompanied Minor (UM) transfers are offered, as outlined in the camp information sheet.
  • Flights are not included in the camp price and are arranged separately by the family.
