Who this camp is for

Nike Hockey Camps are residential field hockey camps for boys and girls aged 11–17, held at Radley College – a prestigious UK boarding school near Oxford and London. The hockey brochure explains that the programme is suitable for a wide range of abilities, from improving players to more experienced juniors who want structured, intensive coaching.

Camp length, dates and options

• Total Hockey – up to 24 hours of hockey coaching and match play per week.
• Hockey + English – hockey plus up to 13 hours of English lessons per week, using the same accelerated learning model as other Nike Sports Camps.

Training programme

According to the brochure, the coaching programme is designed and led by former international players and top professional coaches. Training typically includes:

• Technical skills such as first touch, elimination skills, passing and receiving.
• Shooting and goal‑scoring from different angles and situations.
• Penalty corners and set‑piece work.
• Game‑based drills and conditioned games on modern astroturf pitches.

Location & facilities

All hockey camps are based at Radley College, which offers:

• High‑quality sand‑ or water‑based astroturf pitches.
• Sports halls and indoor teaching spaces.
• Traditional boarding houses with common rooms and Wi‑Fi.

Accommodation, meals & supervision

• Full‑board boarding‑school accommodation with three meals a day and snacks.
• Shared bedrooms grouped by age and gender.
• 24‑hour supervision with clearly defined welfare procedures.
• Evening activities and social events with international campmates.
• International Student Travel Insurance from Howden included via the official hockey camp operator.

Excursions & international setting

Excursions described in the brochure give players the chance to explore English cities and attractions away from the pitch. The group is highly international, so English is spoken naturally throughout training, mealtimes and free time.

Airport transfers & travel

• Standard and Unaccompanied Minor transfers from London Heathrow (LHR) and London Gatwick (LGW) are available.
