Who this camp is for

Nike Basketball Advanced Camp is for boys and girls aged 13–17 who already play basketball regularly and are ready for more intensive training. It forms part of the Nike Basketball pathway outlined in the brochure, which is designed by former NCAA, NBA and GB Olympic player Eric Boateng.

  • Age: 13–17
  • Gender: boys and girls
  • Level: players who play regularly and are comfortable with higher‑intensity practice

Camp length, dates and options

Basketball camps are presented in the brochure as 1‑ or 2‑week residential programmes at three world‑class locations near London. Advanced camps follow the same structure and are offered as 6‑night and 13‑night stays; the specific date options for this programme are listed above.

The two core options, available for Advanced level depending on dates, are:

  • Total Basketball – up to 24 hours per week of basketball coaching and game play, plus sports‑related workshops.
  • Basketball + English – basketball plus up to 13 hours of English lessons per week.

Training programme

Advanced Camps typically include:

  • Ball‑handling and attacking moves at pace.
  • Shooting off the catch and dribble, including under defensive pressure.
  • Defensive footwork, on‑ball and help defence.
  • Transition play and fast‑break situations.
  • Game‑like scrimmages with coach feedback.

Off‑court workshops may cover topics such as mindset, preparation and recovery, aligned with the values described in the brochure.

Locations & facilities

Advanced Camps are held at high‑quality boarding schools in the South‑East of England. Facilities include indoor basketball courts, strength and conditioning areas and modern boarding houses with shared social spaces.

Accommodation, meals & welfare

  • Full‑board accommodation with three meals a day and snacks.
  • Shared rooms grouped by age and gender.
  • 24‑hour supervision and clear codes of conduct.
  • International Student Travel Insurance from Howden included via the official basketball camp operator.

Excursions & international community

Players join excursions described in the brochure, giving them a chance to explore English cities and attractions with new friends. The camp community is very international, so English is spoken all day on and off the court.

Airport transfers & travel

  • Standard and Unaccompanied Minor transfers are available from London Heathrow (LHR) and London Gatwick (LGW), coordinated with camp arrival and departure times.
