Who this camp is for

Nike Football Development Camp is the perfect introduction to international football camps for boys aged 10–13. It is designed for younger players of all football abilities who love the game, want structured coaching and are ready for their first independent stay at a residential camp abroad.

  • Age: 10–13
  • Gender: boys
  • Level: all abilities – from enthusiastic beginners to developing club players
  • Language: English used all day in training and social life

Camp length, dates and options

The Development Camp is available as 6‑night (1‑week) and 13‑night (2‑week) residential stays in summer 2026. Dates for this programme are displayed in the date selection above.

As described in the official camp information sheet, families normally choose between:

  • Total Football – up to 24 hours of football training per week, plus up to 8 hours of age‑appropriate workshops and activities linked to sport and personal development.
  • Football + English – the same volume of football training plus up to 13 hours of English lessons per week, using an accelerated learning approach suitable for young learners.

Training programme

Coaching on the Development Camp focuses on technical foundations and enjoyment of the game. Across the week, players will typically cover:

  • Ball mastery, dribbling and close control.
  • Short passing, receiving and playing on the move.
  • Shooting and finishing from different angles and distances.
  • 1v1 attacking and defending.
  • Small‑sided games to encourage creativity and lots of touches of the ball.

Sessions are planned by UEFA‑qualified coaches using age‑appropriate practices and are supported by structured games and camp tournaments to keep younger players motivated and engaged.

Locations & facilities

Development Camps run at selected English boarding schools in the south of England, such as Bradfield College (near Reading) or similar venues used by Nike Sports Camps. These campuses typically offer:

  • High‑quality grass and/or artificial pitches.
  • Indoor sports halls for wet‑weather sessions.
  • Traditional boarding houses with common rooms and supervised social spaces.

Accommodation, meals and supervision

  • Full‑board accommodation with three meals a day and snacks.
  • Shared bedrooms in secure boarding houses with access control.
  • 24‑hour supervision from experienced residential and welfare teams.
  • Evening activities such as games, quizzes and team‑building challenges.
  • International Student Travel Insurance from Howden is included with every booking via the official operator.

Excursions and international experience

The football brochure shows that campers join organised excursions during their stay. For younger players, these are carefully chosen, fully supervised trips that might include a visit to London or another nearby city, depending on the programme and dates. The camp attracts boys from many different countries, so your child will be surrounded by English and international friends from morning to night.

Airport transfers & travel

  • Shared airport transfers from London Heathrow (LHR) and London Gatwick (LGW) are available.
  • Unaccompanied Minor (UM) transfers are also offered for boys travelling on airline UM services.
  • Flights are arranged separately by the family; camp fees do not include airfare.
