Why send a European teenager on a tour of Europe, when you could go as a family? Because it isn't the same trip.
What you may be worried about
Is it safe? Who is looking after them? Will they spend all day on a bus? Fair questions for a first summer without you.
What your teen is hoping for
Freedom, new people, and the cities, islands and beaches they've seen in photos. A summer that feels like theirs, not another family holiday.
What makes it work
Structure that leaves room for freedom: experienced leaders who stay with the group from the first day to the last, a planned route with rest built in, and freedom within agreed limits. Travelling with teens their own age, your child sees the same places with different eyes. They plan their days, handle their money, solve small problems, and come home with friends from other countries.
Not sure which trip, or how long? Lucie Straková, kiDay's founder, can help you and your teen choose by age group, length and destination.

Coastal expedition · 14+
Coasteering at Durdle Door, caving on Dartmoor, surfing in Newquay and sunset at Land's End — nine days along England's wild south-west coast.
On most of these trips, the group is mostly American teens, with others from around the world. For European teens, that means a summer of English all day, with friends from the other side of the ocean.
It grows with age. Younger teens explore in small groups with leaders close by. Older teens get more independence, within agreed rules and check-ins. Each trip page explains how it works.
For a first trip without parents, a shorter tour is a good start. Teens who already know they love travelling often choose three or four weeks.
Each trip starts and ends in a set city, which is shown on its page. Your teen flies there and is met by the group. Ask us about the arrival arrangements for a specific trip.
Trips are grouped by age so teens travel with peers. Each card shows the ages. If your teen is on the edge of two groups, ask us and we'll help you choose.
